HOW TO FIND FRIARY DENE

Friary Dene is situated on the A36 and sits between Homewood Park Hotel and Iford Manor. Friary Dene is not in the village of Hinton Charter House, rather on the edge of it.

Approaching from Bath – take the A36 from Bath City Centre in the direction of Warminster. Follow this road for approximately 4 miles and you will reach a set of traffic lights (the old Viaduct pub will be on your right). Go straight through these lights and continue up to the top of the hill. Pass a left turn for Limpley Stoke and Freshford and continue until you see a sign for Sharpstone and Freshford. Watchout for signs for Homewood Park Hotel on your left hand side. On your right hand side you will see a sign post for Wellow and Hinton Charterhouse, do not turn right, keep going for about 400 meters and take the second turn on the left, you will enter a gated entrance, with pillars either side of you, we will let you onto the grounds. Friary Dene is on your left hand side, turn left and parking can be found at the rear of the house. You are welcome to drop off luggage at the front of the house.

Approaching from the South – take the major roads to join the A36. Pass through the village of Woolverton and continue on towards Bath. You will pass a petrol station on your right hand side, just past this is a turning on your right for Iford Manor keep going past this. The road bends around to the left, you will see a cream fence and wall and Friary Dene over to your right (cream house) you will need to slow in order to turn right in order to enter the gated entrance, with pillars either side of you, we will let you into the grounds. Friary Dene is on your left hand side, turn left and parking can be found at the rear of the house. You are welcome to drop off luggage at the front of the house.

Friary Dene is open all-year-round including Christmas and New Year.

Friary Dene Payment Terms

We accept payment in cash (Sterling), or by cheque accompanied by a cheque guarantee card. Payment should be made on arrival.

Cancellations – a minimum of 3 days notice, from the date of arrival must be given, else payment is required in full.

Reservations – a non-refundable payment of 50% deposit will be required when you make your booking.

Friary Dene Bed and Breakfast Check-In and Check-Out

You can check-in after 3pm.

Check-out is by 10am weekdays, 10.30 am at the weekend (but flexible, subject to availability).

Friary Dene Parking

As you go through the gated entrance to Friary Dene, the house is on your left hand side, we have ample parking spaces which can be found behind the house.
