Chris trained as a chef in London and has worked for Rick Stein, Sir Terence Conran and Nico Ladenis. Your breakfast is in good hands! Locally sourced, organic ingredients speak for themselves.

Breakfast is an informal and relaxing affair, served in a light and airy breakfast room on wooden farmhouse styled tables and chairs.

Help yourself to Dorset cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit and juice, and toast this will be followed with great organic eggs and salmon as well as the

Friary Dene Dressing Up Code

When the sun shines at Friary Dene guest house, it’s glorious, but we are in England, so it’s better to play safe and bring a windcheater or waterproofs, although if you do get caught out in a downpour, we can dry clothes in our drying room, which is very handy in bad weather.

Comfy shoes are a must, you are in the countryside after all and should you fancy a walk through the grounds or an adventure in the woods a pair of star spangled wellies will look just fine! Or a good book, toasty socks, chocolate and tea if you're not the outdoorsy type!

For generally ‘mooching’ about in the house we recommend ‘cosy’ slippers.

Friary Dene Guest House Facilities

Friary Dene has five individually-styled guest rooms. Complimenting the home comforts of each are LCD televisions, with free view. Fluffy bathrobes, luxurious towels plus tea and coffee making facilities no UHT milk here, only the fresh stuff!

Rooms are tidied on a daily basis.

Hairdryers, irons and ironing boards are all freely available upon request.

Wi-fi is in place throughout the guest house and is available free of charge.

For the grown-ups, who want a little ‘me time’, we have a stylish and comfortable guest lounge for your use with two seating areas, where you can relax with a pot of tea and daintily nibble on biscuits and cake.

For our international friends you can wash clothes and hang them outside for that fresh country air smell, or we can dry clothes, in the drying room. All washing products are provided free of charge.

Friary Dene can provides a list of recommended babysitters for parents to book direct. It's £9 an hour, and please request when booking to avoid disappointment.

Thermae Bath Spa and beauty treatments can be arranged for you, just let us know when booking your room and we can take it from there.

In conjunction with Frontline Style Boutique Salons and Spa we are delighted to offer a Total Relax Marine Spa Experience. Sink into the hydrotherapy bath and let you mind drift with the steamed fragrance. Then relax with a full body massage and a pedicure to complete the treatment (Pedicure may be substituted with reflexology – subject to availability) – 2 hrs 30 mins £90 per person (add a blow-dry for a special price of £15).

We can also arrange for a beauty therapist and hair stylist to come to Friary Dene for facials, massage, nails, waxing, and ‘up do’s’ should you simply not have the energy to go out! These can be arranged one week ahead of your stay and a deposit will be required for these treatments in advance.
